yesterday ws fun. nt bad. shot sum pool after quite a while. got realy lousy at da game. hehe. still me n ma frnd won :P .... den crashed into esha's place all of a sudden ... me n ma frnds lolz. told her dat i brot her a present orit. she ws lyk u shudnt hav n stufs. den whn i showed her wat i brot ... which ws a piece of egg lolz ... she ws literally speechless for a moment, didnt kno wat to say ... hahahha. nice huh :P wat else .... oh yeah on our way bak home frm uttara .... da bus we were in almost caught fire, if da spark ws a bit closer to da fuel tank ... den it cud hav gone booooooom. and oh yeah ... i ws high all day lolz.

just had to rite sumthn. ws abt to close ma eyes, go to sleep. n all of a sudden ma weird n creepy mind ws sayin --- get up u stupid ass n rite it down. so i got up, nw i m ritin. but rite down wat? seems lyk one of dose black outs i hav. one minute i m sumwhr thinkin abt sumthn realy deep, da next minute i dnt even remember wat i ws thinkin abt. its all blank. well ws listenin to dis song calld photograph by nickel back. good song, luv it. guess der mi8 b sumthn da has got to do wit da theme of dis song ... sumthn abt memories bak door. nt sure. ummm, sounds so far away frm sanity.

dis just popped up in ma head again. been thnkin abt it nw n den for last couple of weeks. its me. sumtyms its realy confusin just understndin me. wat do i want. who i trust. who i hate. wat i wanna do. u kno dese stufs. sumtyms i m nt sure who i m realy. der r loads of stufs i been kipin deep insyd me. n i just dnt share it. dunno why. just dnt feel lyk it. here is anoder thng ... i pretty much giv realy good solutions to ma frnds' probs. but whn it comes to ma own twisted stufs .... i go nuts. wel dats wat usually happens ri8. ppl get confusd whn it comes to solvin der own probs. so dey seek for help, ask a frnd for advice. but me, on da oder hand, cnt do dat. i rarely talk abt ma probs. sumhw it gets buried wit lot of oder stufs i been kipin to maself. just cnt open up completely.

lately found out dat i posses dis strange skill or power wateva u call it ... to hide maself whneva i want. i cn instantly chnge ma image. i cn make ppl thnk da way i want dem to thnk abt me. did i make ne sense? i do dat, hw often i hav no idea. just didnt notice it all dis tym. its lyk i m thnkin sumthn ... but i dnt show it. i gracefully put it aside sumwhr sumhw. n its gone. dnt look bak to thnk abt it except for tyms lyk dis. whn evrythn flashes bak randomly n realy fast. dis is whr i get lost, cnt kip track.

dese dayz dnt feel lyk doin nethn. i m plain bored of dis lyf. may b all dis is just a non sense phase. may b all dese will wear off soon. or may b not. its true wat dey say .... lyf's one long insane trip, sum ppl just hav better directions. guess i aint one of dose ppl.

went to da trade fair yesterday wit two of ma frnds. we werent actually interested in goin der tho. just needed to hang out in a new place, dats all. n ofcourse to chk out sum kewl chicks lolz. yesterday ws realy cold, i guess dats y it wsnt dat crowded. wel here ws da prob, der werent ne kewl chicks around in dat fair ..... n we were getn realy pisd. i mean hw is dat possible!! so many ppl roamin around n nt a single hot chick?? nt even hot moms, lolz. we were done walkin around da fair, but stil nt a single fair gal. it ws almost 9.30 or sumthn. we needed to grab sumthn to eat. so went to banani boomers. wel in boomers saw sumone beautiful, she ws okey. actually wat we understood ws ... der were two fam. i mean da gal's fam n da guy's. dey were actually ... wat u call dat ... it ws lyk da fam got together if dey lyk each oder or sumthn lyk dat. hehe. u kno pre-marriage stufs in bd. newayz ........ after getn out frm boomers, saw dis realy realy beautiful chick in da car. da car ws in da parkin lot. n she ws sittin in da front sit alone, doin sumthn wit her mobile. she ws a foreigner. n she ws damn cute. she ws awesome. u kno dose realy cute dolls, she ws almost lyk dat. i mean she ws lyk a precious thing n u wudnt want to mess her up. so da day didnt end dat bad after all. hehe. atleast saw a realy good one at last. lolz.

An excellent question and one we thought we could answer in a flash. Not so. After much digging, we found an article in The Washington Post that states the first letter grade given in the United States was a "B" at Harvard University in 1883.

Prior to that time and up to about 1900, most institutions of higher learning used the numeric system (0-100) for grading. According to the Georgia State University web site, from about 1900 to the 1960s, colleges and universities became more general in grading. Hence, the letter-grade system became popular.

Georgia State University surveyed 1,395 two-year colleges, four-year colleges, and universities, and found 89.8% use the letter-grading system with a tendency to add plus or minus.

About that "E" grade -- some schools have used the E instead of F, but we speculate too many students tried to convince their parents the "E" stood for "excellent." It's much harder to trick parents into believing an "F" stands for "fantastic."

Some academics oppose this system of grading. One Stanford University professor claims students tend to take only courses in which they can get good grades. It would be much better, he states, if students explored courses in subjects of interest to them and there were no grades. Where was this guy when we were in school?

two dayz bak .... ws ma 1st unexpected job interview. one of our teachers askd me n ma frnd to meet dis guy who ws frm MIT. we were only told dat he ws lookin for sumbody to work wit him in a prj or sumthn. so we calld him up, he askd us to meet at movenpick in gulshan. we thot dat he ws lookin for sum guy who can work in his prj. but der we found out dat he ws actually lookin for ppl as an employee. newayz, it ws an interstin interview. pretty informal. da guy ws damn smart n interestin. he den askd me to call him up nxt day for da 2nd meetin. or shud i say 2nd date, hehehe. he actually termd da 1st interview as our 1st date :P ....... da 2nd date ws at his home. it ws a long one. after an hour or so, we went for lunch at suntoor in dhanmondi 32. he cald up one of his collegues der. so nw it ws lyk 3 guyz in a single date, messy huh lolz. after da long talk n all, it seemd lyk dey mi8 take me. most of da directors in dat company r MIT guyz. n der prj is pretty interestin too. da salary isnt dat high at da beginnin. but i m intersted first of all cuz da work is interstin, da environment is also kewl ... no formalities n stufs ... and dey r MIT guys, so its gonna b a unique xperience. so, hopefully i get da job. wish me luck guyz.
